Nsaale Herbal Cough Syrup 200ml

(0 review)

Nsaale Herbal Cough Syrup is a scientifically inspired natural formulation designed to provide relief from coughs, chest congestion and soothe irritated throats. This syrup combines the expectorant, demulcent, and antimicrobial properties of Eucalyptus spp., Curcuma Longa and Musa x paradisiaca (banana) extracts.

Mechanism of Action:

• Expectorant (Eucalyptus spp.): The volatile oils in eucalyptus, particularly eucalyptol (1,8-cineole), act as an expectorant by stimulating the respiratory tract's mucous glands. This increased fluid production thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough up and clear from the airways.

• Demulcent (Musa x paradisiaca): Banana extracts, rich in mucilage, provide a soothing demulcent effect. They form a protective layer over irritated mucous membranes in the throat and respiratory tract, relieving discomfort and reducing irritation.

• Antimicrobial (Eucalyptus spp., Curcuma Longa): Extracts possesses antimicrobial properties, which may help to combat certain respiratory pathogens contributing to cough and congestion. The compounds present in the extract can inhibit the growth of some bacteria and viruses.

2. Therapeutic Mechanisms for Respiratory Relief

A. Mucolytic and Expectorant Action

Eucalyptol is the primary driver for clearing chest congestion. It works by stimulating the secretory glands of the respiratory tract, increasing the volume of thin secretion. This reduces the viscosity of phlegm, making it easier to expel during a cough.

B. Bronchodilation and Airway Relaxation

The presence of N-methyladrenaline (a natural catecholamine analogue found in banana extracts) and Propanoic acid helps in relaxing the smooth muscles of the bronchi. This is critical for patients experiencing chest tightness or wheezing associated with infections.

C. Soothing of Sore Throat (Demulcent Property)

The extracts from Musa x paradisiaca are rich in mucilage and Alanine derivatives. These compounds form a protective film over the pharyngeal mucosa, reducing the mechanical irritation that triggers "tickly" dry coughs and relieving the pain of a sore throat.

D. Antimicrobial and Immune Support

The Benzoic acid Silver 1+ salt provides a direct antiseptic action against secondary bacterial infections. Meanwhile, the Alisol F from Turmeric prevents the "cytokine storm" in the lungs, reducing the overall duration of the respiratory infection.

3. Qualitative Phytochemical Screening (Projected)

Test
